Description

The Safari Tent sleeps up to 6, in a double bed with a double sofa bed and two staggered single beds in the adjoining tent. All the interior is hand crafted by a local artist. It is situated in six acres of beautiful working orchard boasting gorgeous view across the Exmoor National Dark Skies Park. BBQ and a fire pit are provided. Lighting is supplied via solar power and heat by way of a lovely wood burner, making it the perfect get away, whatever the weather.

The space

The Safari tents are set in the middle of our beautiful orchard. There are two tents, one has its own toilet and fully kitted out kitchen and double cabin bed. The other is a small tent with two single beds, designed with young adults in mind. The interiors have been deck out to a high standard, using aged cedar which has been hand carved by our friend and local artist Rob Heard.
Torre Cider Farm is an award-winning small scale cider producer. The farm also boasts a Farmhouse Kitchen, selling delicious home-made breakfasts, lunches, snacks and cakes, and a course a delicious cream tea; a farm shop which stocks locally produced foods and craft products, as well as it’s own cider and apple juice, pressed on site. There is also a children’s playground and a number of small farm animals to visit. The three glamping units are situated on the far side of the site, and are well separated. Hot showers and individual toilets are provided in a purpose built facilities block.

Guest access

Guests have out of hours access to the kids play and the whole of the beautiful orchard. Why not have an evening bbq or picnic or a glass of cider amongst the apple trees.
Please avoid the top barns area as this is the working farm area. There could be tractor movements or other dangerous farm machinery here.

Guest interaction

We can be as available as guests require, we are usually on site and can be contacted either via text or by popping into the onsite farm shop.

The closest station to the farm is in Washford, around a mile away. The whole area is popular with walkers and cyclists alike with many public footpaths to follow and Exmoor, as with all national parks, offers free access to ramblers. The quiet country roads that criss-cross the area make it perfect cycling country, with the rolling hills offering an exciting challenge. Our closest national railway station is Taunton, from where you can catch the bus to Washford. Internationally we can be reached from both Bristol and Exeter airports via national rail services.

Other things to note

Please be aware we are a working farm so there will be apple picking through out October.
Also we are a tourist attraction. In the daytime people will be on site but we do try to keep tourist separate from glampers.
